Paint and Play – The Industry Venue @ NC Music Factory – 1/13/17

Greetings readers!

I had the opportunity to visit ‘Paint and Play’ last night and it was everything!  There was nothing but great vibes, smells, poets andddd, you guessed it…. ART! Everything about this event screamed belonging. The atmosphere was very inviting and electrifying. I did not see a frown in sight! Everyone appeared to be having a genuine wonderful time. I, for one, will definitely be returning for more! I will include the location information towards the bottom. I spent a few moments mingling with the featured artists and a couple of vendors. This young lady, Rencia A. Bennent (Jafra Beauty Consultant)  allowed me to sample the ‘Ginger & Sea Salt Body Rub’  by Jafra. It smelled amazing and felt wonderful on my hands! She was very knowledgeable of her products and I definitely plan to get more of her products. Be sure to check site out!

That caramel drizzled, powered sugar deliciousness of a funnel cake from Mimi’s was sooooo good!  I did not get her Facebook page or Instagram link, but if you know her, make sure you tell her I said Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

 Meet Ms. Andrea Furtick b.k.a Art Goddess Drea. That piece behind us was completed during last night’s event. Drea is a sweet soul and very down to earth.  This gem is Ms. Louise McLaughlin . She specializes in Birth Stone and Flower Art. Her artwork, from what I saw, is soft yet bold. Ms.Louise’s work is definitely heartfelt and most of all, pretty!

Say hello to Ms. Jaianna McCants!  This beauty is not only an awesome artist, she’s also a teacher! An art teacher of course. Her works were lovely and well put together.  This fellow is the Owner and Artist of Skyline Artworks. Meet Mike Rutledge! I enjoyed seeing Mike’s work. I appreciated the raw imagination that’s used to create his pieces. He also has pieces for sale so make sure you take a look here!

You have now came across the cosmic world of Konscious. This talented young man’s work is a blend of the galaxies and higher self conscious. Dope right?!  From what I had a chance to see so far, he is definitely making an impact in the urban art world.  Oh yeah, he and his team also do body painting and glow parties!
